A few weeks after the wedding, Fatima and Ali celebrated their marriage with a grand reception at Leonda by the Yarra in Melbourne. They had gone all out with the styling, from live fish centrepieces to a colour-coordinated lolly table. Following some lively speeches and amusing anecdotes, the guests farewelled the couple as we boarded a water taxi for a cruise along the Yarra river. We got a great mix of dramatic photos by the Melbourne Parliament House along with some more informal documentary-style images wandering through the streets of Melbourne, finishing up at the awesome Langham Melbourne Hotel. For me it was a dream come true as I’ve always wanted to photograph a beautiful couple around Melbourne. Many thanks to Kamal from Hot Chilli Media for recommending locations and driving us around.
