Anu and Jay – Lights Out
When the lights go out… For photographers: Anu and Jay were lit using a combination of speedlite, beauty dish, video light and available (shop window) light.
Read Moree-session – Balmain – Supreet and Luke
On a vibrant Summer day I met Luke and Supreet in Balmain for their e-session (and the first shoot for 2012). They chose a park by the water which featured clear views of the city across the harbour, plenty of greenery and rusty old drums – aka photographer paradise. Resplendent with terrible dad jokes and merciless tickle fights, we basked in the sunshine and shenanigans. Luke and Supreet, we can’t wait to capture your big Sikh wedding at the end of the month! ...
Read Moree-session – Sydney City – Tara and Shuaib
Sharing a love for city life, fashion and fine dining, Tara and Shuaib chose Sydney’s CBD for their e-session. The entire time I was with them they were talking, laughing and connecting as if nothing else around them mattered. I feel these images really reflect their understated love, contrasting beautifully against a busy city...
Read Moree-session – Raina and Alvin- Newtown
Alvin and Raina are a young, energetic couple with a zest for life and a genuine love and respect for one another. They flew up from Melbourne for their e-session in Newtown, which proved a perfect match for their personalities. Raina provided the soundtrack by regularly bursting into song and busting out kung-fu moves on an unsuspecting Alvin. Realising the only way to wear these two out was with some intense cardio, I engaged them in lots of spinning, running, walking and jumping. Guys,...

Read Moree-session – Nish and Hamshi – La Perouse
This was more of a “post-wedding” shoot as Nish and Hamshi were way too busy planning their wedding to have time to do their engagement photos. I had a fantastic time getting to know them at their wedding and reception earlier in the year. La Perouse provided the perfect dramatic backdrop for Nish and Hamshi’s extravagant wedding outfits. Here are a few of my favourites from their session. ...
Read Moree-session – Hari and Losni – QVB Sydney
Hari and Losni have it all – a great sense of style, class and a refreshing self-deprecating sense of humour. Being drawn to its classic architecture and unique decor, they chose the iconic Queen Victoria Building in Sydney for their “after dark” e-session. The photo session turned into a mini-adventure, involving sweet-talking security guards for access to the grand Tea Room, hunting around in the dark for light switches and having imaginary tea parties (Losni’s idea)....
Read Moree-session – Rakesh and Sunita – Sydney Opera House, Royal Botanic Gardens
Rakesh and Sunita had agreed to meet me at the Opera House for their afternoon e-session, but due to major road closures were running very late. We managed to get a few great night shots by Sydney’s famous Circular Quay foreshore, and rescheduled a daytime re-shoot a few days later. We had a lot more success the second time round and I got to know Rakesh and Sunita better. They are both warm, loving and humble people. Here are a few favourites from their e-sessions. I’ll post up...
Read Moree-session – Hansel and Shirin – The Rocks
Shirin and Hansel chose the gorgeous Rocks and Sydney Harbour areas for their e-session. It’s always fun shooting there for the variety and colour of the back streets of the Rocks along with easy access to views of the Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House. Shirin was a little shy at first but before we knew it she was really working it for the camera! Hansel was not camera shy in the least: I think Shirin was a little embarrassed to be canoodling near a street with lots of passing...
Read Moree-session – Preet and Deep – Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House
I met trendy young couple Preet and Deep on the Opera House steps for their e-session. They were instantly relaxed and at ease in front of the camera, and clearly just love each other’s company. Note: the “kissing the sun” shot was not my idea The sun peered out from the clouds for just an instant – long enough for me to capture my favourite shot of the afternoon: Sorry Preet, I just had to post these two! Thanks for a fun afternoon Preet and Deep and...
