HOW TO CHOOSE A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

Questions?

• Why are you guys different?

Many Sydney wedding videographers treat your wedding day like a fashion shoot or a music video. They interrupt the day because they need to get certain shots to create their videos and can cause unnecessary frustration and delays.

Our approach to wedding videography is different. We aim to be as unobtrusive as possible, capturing the day as it unfolds with minimal direction. As you can see in our sample wedding films above, we use lots of natural audio in our films (such as your vows and speeches). Who better to tell your story than you and your loved ones?

• How many photographers cover my wedding?

We have two photographers at every wedding. Typically one will go to the groom’s house before the ceremony and one will go to the bride’s to capture some natural moments and family photos at each home before leaving for the ceremony. The second photographer will stay until the end of your wedding ceremony, and the lead photographer will continue on for the location shoot and reception.

• When will my photos by ready?

Your pre-wedding photos will be ready in 2 weeks, and your wedding photos will be ready within 4 weeks of your wedding. You can access your photos via an easy-to-use password protected online gallery, which is perfect for sharing with family and friends. You'll also receive your full set of images in high resolution via digital download.

• Should I have a pre-wedding shoot?

Most of my couples book an engagement session (aka pre-wedding shoot) with me. They are a fantastic way to get comfortable in front of the camera, get a hair and make-up trial, and get creative with your outfits and location choices. Here are 9 reasons to book a pre-wedding shoot.

• Do you offer wedding albums?

Absolutely. I believe that a wedding album is an essential part of your wedding story. Every couple receives an album that is unique to them; after your wedding I work with you to create a beautifully designed and hand-crafted wedding album (proudly made in Australia) that you will be excited to share with your family and friends. Find out more about my wedding albums.

• Do you offer wedding videography/cinematography?

Yes we do. We offer wedding videography that is natural, simple and full of emotion. I'd love to put together a combined wedding photography and videography package to suit your requirements – discover more here.

• How many photos do we receive?

While every wedding is different, you can expect to receive at least 800 images from your wedding. I will deliver your images via a digital download. and in a private online gallery for easy sharing with your guests.

• What kind of equipment do you use, and what happens if it breaks?

My team and I use a wide range of lighting and photography equipment (Canon mirrorless bodies for you geeks out there), and bring second and third backups of everything so we can continue capturing your special moments without interruption.

• Can you help with our wedding day schedule?

Of course! I have photographed over 300 weddings so can definitely help you figure out how long you need for different parts of your wedding day. I'm here to help along your wedding journey. Check out my article on how to design your perfect wedding photography timeline.

• How do we book you?

Most couples meet with me in my studio or via Zoom to chat more about their wedding day plans and to go through our wedding books, canvases and other ideas. I then build a quote together which you can then accept online with a deposit to secure your date.

If you're keen to just book us in and lock in your date, you can simply pay a deposit and put together a package down the track.
